இள வயதில் உடற்கட்டழகர் போட்டிகளின் மேல் இருந்த மிகுந்த ஆர்வத்தில் உடற்கட்டழகர் பயிற்சியை தனது 16 வயதில் தொடங்கியுள்ளார் ‘மிஸ்டர் ஜிம் மலேசியா’ புகழ் ஜெய் பிரபாகரன்.

பகாங், கோல லிப்பீசைச் சேர்ந்த ஜெய் பிரபாகரன் தனது சிறு வயதில் உடற்கட்டழகர் துறையில் களமிறங்கியுள்ளார். இது போன்ற துறையில் நம் இளைஞர்கள் பங்கு கொள்வது அரிது. இருப்பினும், இத்துறையின் மீது ஜெய் பிரபாகரனுக்கு இருந்த மிகுந்த ஆர்வத்திலும் விடாமுயற்சியிலும் இத்துறையில் பல சாதனைகளை அவ்வப்போது நிகழ்த்தி வருகிறார் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

கடந்த 2014/2015 ஆண்டின் மிஸ்டர் பகாங் எனும் பட்டதைப் பெற்ற இவர், தனது உடற்கட்டழகர் பயணத்தின் அடுத்த இலக்காக மலேசியாவை பிரதிநிதித்து அடுத்த ஆண்டு நடைபெறவுள்ள மிஸ்டர் சென்னைக்கான போட்டிக்கு மகத்தான தேகப்பயிற்சியுடன் முழுக் கவனத்துடன் தயார் செய்து வருகிறார்.

இதுவரை மலேசியாவை பிரதிநிதித்து சென்ற போட்டியாளர்கள் வெற்றி பெற்றதில்லை. ஆகவே, இப்போட்டியின் இளைய பிரிவில் சாதிப்பதற்காக பயிற்சியாளர் வினோத் தலைமையில் கடும் பயிற்சிகளில் களமிறங்கியுள்ளதாக ‘மிஸ்டர் ஜிம் மலேசியா’ ஜெய் பிரபாகரன் தெரிவித்தார்.

தன்னுடைய ஒவ்வொரு வெற்றிக்கும் துணை நிற்கும் தனது தாயார் சுகுணாமலருக்கு தனது முதற்கண் நன்றியைத் தெரிவித்துக் கொண்டார். மேலும், தனது முதல் உடற்கட்டழகர் பயிற்சியாளர் மாமன் ராஜன் அவரது வழிகாட்டலின் வழி இத்துறையில் காலடி வைத்ததாகவும் இன்றைய பயிற்சியாளர் வினோத் அவருக்கும் தனது அன்பு கலந்த நன்றியினைத் தெரிவித்துக் கொண்டார்.

இதனிடையே, நம் இளைய சந்ததியினருக்கு இப்பயிற்சி மூலம் உடற்கட்டழகராக மிளிர்வதற்கு சிறப்பு பயிற்சியாளராக புத்தாக்கச் சிந்தனையோடு உடற்கட்டழகர்களை உருவாக்கும் பணியில் தம்மை ஈடுபடுத்தி வருகிறார்.

நம் இளைஞர்களின் மத்தியில் இளம் கட்டழகராகவும் நம் சமுதாயத்தில் மின்னி வருவது மற்ற இளைஞர்களுக்கு வித்திட ஓர் உதாரணமாக இருந்து வருவது பெருமைக்குரிய காரியமாகும்.

Having interest in bodybuilding pageant leads 'Mr Gym Malaysia' Jey Prabhakaran to kick start his bodybuilding practices as early as at age of 16. Even though it is very rare to find our young generation engage themselves in this field, Pahang born Jey Prabhakaran started to shine in bodybuilding competition at young age with full of confidence.

Having passion in this bodybuilding, encourages him to excel in this field and gain numbers of achievements. In addition, he also managed to win the title of 'Mr Pahang' for 2014/2015. Currently, he is moving forward with next step by getting himself ready to represent our country Malaysia in the 'Mr Chennai' competition which will be held at India. Jey, who will be competing under teens category claimed that he wished to win the title for the first time as the competitors who represented our country previously failed to win the title.

Thus, he started to put all his effort in his training with the supervision of his trainer Vinoth. Jey added that, he should thank his mother Sugunamalar for being the backbone for him since he started his journey in bodybuilding.

Not only that, he also conveyed his sincere thanks and gratitude towards his first trainer Rajan, who is also his uncle and his current trainer Vinoth. Besides,he is on mission in becoming a successful trainer and at the same time producing more teenagers in bodybuilding. Lastly, it is also known that Jey made our community proud by shining as a successful and promising bodybuilder besides being a role model for the young generation.
